CROSSROADS

“A Tale of the Crossroads of Love and Life”

Two years down the lane,

History seems to repeat itself,

Everything seems unchanged,

All that occurred in the past,

Is recurring, leaving me unhinged.

The bleak mornings and dreary nights,

Of the rains of this year,

Are mere shadows,

Of the summer of that draconian year.

The time I hid myself from all the love and fame,

To save myself from this world full of fake,

Removing the last vestiges of the life led till then,

I detached myself from people and pain.

After distancing myself from people,

Becoming socially impaired the only choice I could handle,

I never thought I would have to again face,

Any memory of the past knawing at my progression and pace.

But,

Life and Love have created another uproar,

And yet again I am at a CROSSROADS.

Life looms above me asking,

Should I or Should I not?

And Love,

Well, it keeps questioning me time and again;

Do you want someone to fall for the idea of you?

Or

Show your true self and let someone fall for you?

They have both given me choices to make,

And have left me with brutal decisions to take.

Entering the world without my facades,

Leaves me defenceless and scared,

It puts me on a pedestal,

Laying my vulnerabilities at stake.

Lively, loved and coherent or Stranded, alone and obscure,

The choices I make will lead me to either of these thestrals.

As the circle of life will complete itself,

It might meet the others,

Is all I will be left with to hope for,

Once I have decided upon the flow of one road.

  1. Sometime life makes us see the same results many times. No amount of introspection or soul search helps. What did for me though, is retaining positivity and facing life boldly, unwaveringly. It changed the life itself. Well composed, came from heart. Liked it. Regards Jay

    1. Yes. I know. Depressing boputs aren’t new for me. Just that I don’t like the repetitive circle that life is but we can’t avoid it.
True, Being bold and remaining positive are the best things you can do at such times.
Thankyou, I am glad you liked it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Vanya, such an eloquent revelatiรณn of your inner being. So few of the people I know could do the same. You are remarkable. I suggest you choose to show yourself but not all at once. Look for reciprocal revelations from the one who attracts you. Sending all good vibes your way, Richard

    1. Thankyou. Been long since I heard from you. Well sometimes the ones who attract me are as scared as me to reveal themselves. They don’t even understand where to start as they have kept it all cooped up inside for years. I do reveal parts of me but when I see the other person not sharing, I simply back down. You can never force someone.
Thanks for the vibes. Needed them. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. I agree, Vanya, self-revelation has to be a two-way street. Otherwise you can leave the conversation feeling naked rmotionally. I will try to be more in touch with you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. Probing thought. Life is not void of risks and we can’t lose hope of love. We just need to keep aware of situations surrounding us and make the best choices we are equipped to make. Still, we all will make decisions not in our best interest but we must push it aside and press toward our mark, realizing the love and forgiveness that abounds. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I am glad you liked it.
So true… I totally agree with your words. We should always try to make the best of whatever decisions we make even the worst ones. When Love and forgiveness are the rewards it is all that it takes!!
      Thankyou for the visit!!
